Bicol Express 🇵🇭

Spicy!

Glaiza's famous Bicol Express - a creamy, spicy coconut milk stew with pork and chili peppers. This Bicolano classic is a MUST TRY. Patrick can barely handle the heat, but he keeps coming back for more!

45 min Spicy Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Serves 4
Ingredients:
  • 500g pork belly, sliced
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 10-15 chili peppers (siling labuyo)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Bagoong (shrimp paste)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
Steps:

Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant

Add pork belly and cook until lightly browned

Pour in coconut milk and bring to a simmer

Add bagoong and chili peppers

Simmer until pork is tender and sauce thickens

Add coconut cream, stir well, and serve with rice!

Filipino Spaghetti Patrick's Creation

Filipino Spaghetti 🇵🇭🇩🇪

Sweet & Savory

When a German guy makes Filipino-style spaghetti - it's sweeter than Italian, loaded with hotdogs, and Glaiza approved! Patrick's version has become a household favorite. The banana ketchup is the secret!

30 min Easy Serves 4
Ingredients:
  • 500g spaghetti noodles
  • 500g ground pork or beef
  • 1 pack hotdogs, sliced
  • 1 jar sweet-style spaghetti sauce
  • Banana ketchup (Jufran!)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Cheese for topping (lots!)
  • Sugar to taste
Steps:

Cook spaghetti noodles according to package

Brown the ground meat with onion

Add hotdog slices and cook 2 minutes

Pour in spaghetti sauce and banana ketchup

Add sugar to taste - Filipino-style means SWEET!

Mix with noodles, top with cheese, and serve!
